Hi! I'm Tamara (Mara),

I love designing and consider myself both new and not new to it.

I grew up in Hong Kong 🇭🇰, where I graduated from the University of Hong Kong with a BSc in Applied Child Development. I've spent almost 10 years working in childcare, coaching, and education, which has made me skilled at empathising with and prioritising my students. Plus, my experience in set design for Crossroads Foundation has made me adept at crafting experiences that evoke feelings, convey a message, and inspire action.

Although my educational and vocational experiences haven't been directly in design so far, creating with intention is something I love, embody, and excel at. But you don't have to take my word for it— here are some kind words from some of my mentors and clients:
